This wasn't as fun as I expected when I clicked on it.
There's gotta be a way around this situation but I don't know what it would be. Did using the google help at all?
I'm locked out of my own computer.
I created a guest account on my laptop running Windows XP. I set a new password. I remember what the password is. Evidently, I must have typed a bad letter or number because I cannot get into my stuff.

boot into safe mode and go to administrator? I dunno. You can make a new account from there and transfer your stuff, I think... but then again, I don't have a password on my account, only on my computer itself.
A Goon in a Gaggle of 'em
you could also try contacting Microsoft for help. (I'm assuming the software that this password is on is made by Microsoft.)
Crisis over.
I had unknowingly set my NumLock on and it converted one of my password letter to a number. Fortunately, I found out and disabled numlock, thus restoring my writing projects, my gaming portal, and autoerotic activities.
In celebration, I will display the password as it appeared when in numlock mode:
FR5N2 S4C2S

Obviously you've never tried this or you wouldn't suggest it.

that doesn't make sense the numlock shouldn't have any effect on the letter buttons, numlock should only effect the numbers keypad. To prove what I'm saying, the post was typed with the numlock turned on.

Translation: My computer is a laptop, so I don't have a 10-key. That's why when I activate numlock, this happens.
I got your back, even though my laptop does have a 10-key. =P

Not that that is going to stop you from dreaming… Only in this case, Gaffer is actually a guy.
