Meant to say that this addition looks terrific too coming out of the 'Carbon Chamber' bubble, and was a very good idea vaderios.
Just a little thought on this adywan - while I can imagine an equally large 'bubble' unseen on the other side of the 'Vane'/'Pod' to make up up the whole 'Carbon Chamber', I wonder if there should be a hint of 'steam'/'smoke' coming up from the other side subtly too, to sell that idea? Or are vertical 'stacks' on just one side enough?

Anyway, watched the clip and wow, what a difference! Really has some life to it now. I have no idea how either Adywan or DE did it, but it's especially impressive considering they were basically working with nothing but a flat image, right?

The latest version of the vane clip is great, although I agree that the marker lights could be toned down a notch (just slightly less intense, they stand out a bit). Fantastic job, otherwise, though!

The new shot looks great. Personally, I would consider having the lights blink at a slower frequency and not necessarily in unison (top vs. bottom of the tower). With a structure that large, I think it would be difficult to keep all the lights flashing at the same time and frequency.
Then again, they do have lightsabers, so anything's possible.... :)

The new clip looks much better Ady... very nice job! As for the blinking red lights, I don't see anything wrong with 'em, but maybe that's just me.

I think it looks fantastic... I can see where Asterix and co. are saying in regards to slowing the pulsing of the red lights, but even so "without" any further modifications it is a much better establishing shot.
And I agree with Imp Fighter: it looks like the carbonite chamber can fit inside that bubble now.

My Mac G4 is so old, the clip won't play smoothly for me. Can't even export it to a more comparable format / bitrate. Wish I could understand all these issues you're all discussing.

What are you using to play it? VLC runs very efficiently, as does Media Player Classic.

I've always found MPC to be a little less temperamental when playing DVDs, but either will work for MP4 playback.

NJM, VLC should play it.
What did you use to try and convert it?
If you've got Quicktime Pro, that should allow you to downsize it as would MPEG Streamclip.

The problem with older G4s is that certain video formats will not play on anything anymore (they will open but they only play something like 1/5 of the frames).
I'm not sure if it's down to Apple no longer providing support for older versions of OS X or not but VLC , QTpro and MPG Streamclip couldn't cope with Ady's latest clips on my Powerbook laptop but over on my main computer running Leopard all of them open it just fine.

It's possibly down to processor speed/graphics card. I know that my brand new Atom Netbook has the same issues with HD video.

^^ yeah I go through the same thing with my ancient PC too sometimes. (even with vlc player) Mostly I just wait for stuff to hit youtube or play clips from my work computer.
I tried with the latest clip....even playing choppy I can tell it's an awesome new shot.

I was watching EMPIRE last night, and I noticed in the part where the Cloud City guards take the Stormtroopers by surprise that Lobot mouths the word "Go" to them, but no dialogue is heard.

Agreed. I liked the fact that Lobot is mute. Hoping he can imitate mouth movement without speech OR what they put on soundboards.
I like how unique some stuff are just from accident :)

Here's a thing. Speaking for THX.. i mean lobot i noticed that he was meditating to a room similar to leia's apartment.
The center circle in the room is actually a light!
Since tho there is a different continuity in revisited edits will you ady consider make it open too? meaning with clouds from behind?

Think. Leia's apartment have clouds/sky. It is still daylight. The only think i can assume is the filmakers used again clever the set with different settings to sell the illusion that it is a new room.
The shadow/highlights would be a problem. Since the sun is going down.
I dont know what shot take reference to match it with the other. I guess is up to ady to leave it or use it.
