Meant to say that it was disconcerting to hear of your recent problems adywan, and I echo those who hoped you'd mention this to your doctor. I guess you are normally glued to a monitor screen for hours on end at a time.

I know that for health and safety reasons that my son's computer course recommend that you look away from staring at the screen for a few moments every 15 mins. or so, to let your eyes adjust and re-focus properly again. Say, look into the distance at something else for a few moments, before returning to the screen again. They also recommend that you take a complete break away from the screen every hour or so, for a few minutes.

I've no idea if adywan's recent problems are related to this or not, but I know I try to do this too now for the sake of my eyes and any possible headaches. It's not easy to remember in daily, busy usage, but I've got a 'post-it' reminder stuck to my monitor now, and it might be something that others here might care to bear in mind too.
