As a kid growing up in the early 80's:

1.  Star Wars

2.  Jedi

3.  Empire

As an adult:

1.  Empire

2.  Star Wars

3.  Jedi

I see what ya did there, CO.

I guess I should explain how my tastes for the OT has changed from being a kid to an adult.

Star Wars never changed for me, I always loved, still love it, and because I saw it in '77 I can enjoy it as that standalone movie it was originally made for, or enjoy it part of the trilogy too.

Empire changed for me from 1980.  When I saw it in '80 as an 8 year old, I wasn't a huge fan.  It was just too dark for me at that age, and the one thing that I still remember was wincing when Han cut that Tauntaun open!  I remember being annoyed the good guys lost and there was no ending.  Of course years later, I rewatched the trilogy in highschool in the context of it being part 2 of 3, and absolutely loving it and realizing how great it was.  I probably love Star Wars more, but Empire is the better made movie.

As for Jedi, I LOOOOVVVEDDD in 83.  I was only 10 so the ewoks didn't bother me, but I just remember that the first SW movie I was old enough to anticipate.  I remember it being called Revenge of the Jedi in the summer of '82.  I remember seeing all the previews on TV, and couldn't wait to see it.  Back as a kid I loved the Jabba scenes, as I thought he was the coolest villain.  And the one scene i loved was Obiwan talking to Luke on Dagobah about Anakin, and seeing the trilogy come full circle.  The ending was awesome, and I just remember being totally juiced when I got home that summer day!  Years later, the movie didn't hold up as much for me.  The Jabba's scenes are too long, the ewoks are annoying, and now it definitely ranks last of the OOT for me.
