I've used astraweb and supernews (giganews reseller) with no luck.  I'll give them a shot.  Thanks.
I've managed to get all my rar's to pass the checks in QuickPar after a lot of re-downloading of files. Anyway, do you have a rapidshare, netload or megaupload account?

I'm happy to upload a few files for you if this will help you although it may take a little while due to my poor upload speed!

Let me know.
Andy

Thanks Andy! The problem isn't that I'm missing any files as much as the fact that I have incomplete files. I can grab rars from any of the accounts, but I'd need quite a few to fix it (I imagine).

Parts: 001, 004, 005, 007, 011, 012, 014, 015, 017, 018, 020, 021, 024, 027, 030, 033, 055, , 059, 061, 062, 064, 067, 070, 073, 076, 079, 082, 098, 136, 139, 142, 156, 195, 198, 201, , 207, 210, 214, 219, 261, 269, 352, 366, and 370 are all incomplete :( Thanks for all of your help!

A little bird might repost them on usenet. Search for Star.Wars.A.New.Hope.PROPER.REISSUE.Bluray.Format.1080P.RAR.REPOST in a day or so.

Thank you, thank you, thank you!

I'm also having issues with downloading these, even though I'm using Astraweb..  I'll try downloading Hank's repost and see if that helps, but I've also got quite a few incomplete parts of Empire as well.  I haven't downloaded Jedi yet, so we'll see how that goes.

Hi!

Just chiming in to say that it is in fact still possible to reconstruct Jedi.PROPER.REISSUE, when adding the new PAR-sets, that can be found in the same place. It took a lot of manual searching and four hours of rebuilding the broken rars, but hey, who cares..?

Sadly, I'm still getting dropped frames with regular intervals when playing this on my Popcorn A-110 with internal 7200 rpm drive (same trouble with Revenge Of The Sith 50GB). Funny thing is, the dropped frames occur in the same spots every time. But with all the effort, Wookie Groomer put into these babies, I presume that it must be my hardware that's inadequate somehow, since no-one else mentions anything like this.  Well, I'll just have to try some different players...

Cheers and thanx!

Is anyone willing to PM me to do a B&P for the Ep6 AVHCD?  I'm still suffering without a dual layer burner.  Thanks.

Hello,

I have a question regarding A New Hope-Fresh Tested Edition?

It appears that there is an issue with the encode, at about the 2:00:02 mark, during the end credits.  The image breaks-up for about a second (Media Players cannot seek past this point) then returns to normal.  Did anyone else have this problem?  Also, I'm concerned it won't burn and/or play properly with this issue.  No problems with Unpacking with Winrar 3.93, latest version.  Is this a know issue and is there a fix?  It will be used on a PS3.  Btw, are there any other know issues with the rest of these releases?  Any help and/or advice would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks!!

I have Ewokgroomer EP6 as a .mkv file but I need to get it in AVHCD format and I lack the hardware to accomplish the task.  Is anyone willing to assist?

Thanks for the reply Ady.  Love your work.  Unfortunately I am not able to run MultiAVCHD as I am using an older Mac.  At this point I actually wouldn't even be able to burn the DL disc with my hardware.

To avoid this problem, I did a trade with someone for what was supposed to be an AVCHD disc but they just sent me the MKV file on a disc, which is pretty much a coaster to me until I can upgrade my hardware.

And so the begging resumes...Anyone interested in turning my coaster into a pair of AVCHD's, one for you and one for me?

I have noticed this issue on playback via a Pioneer 51fd.

The video breaks up with a few corrupt macroblock clumps at this point, although the audio seems to play fine continuously through this point.  However the corruption only lasts a few seconds and then video is fine.

I haven't tried seeking beyond this point as it is just the end credits and it is still possible to view through the corruption, so it isn't really an issue for me.  Sure a perfect encode would have been preferable, but I'm happy enough with what we have.

Wookiegroomer,

Did you encode "Return Of The Jedi" differently to "A New Hope" and "Empire Strikes Back"?

Whilst Return plays fine at normal speed with a Pioneer 51fd, if I attempt to do a chapter advance, it takes more than 30 seconds before the new video is displayed.  If I attempt a Fast Forward, it is very choppy with the infrequent video frames being a torn combination of 2 or 3 frames.

I don't have this issue with Hope or Empire.

Would this be an encode problem or a disc problem?  The disc verified just fine after the burn.

Hi All,

I couldn't for the life of me remember my old account so I had to re-create a new one to post. LOL!!!

I am like some on this board. I'm without a Blu-Ray burner in my PC. I would have no problem grabbing the releases from WG. I just have no way to burn them. I currently am enjoying a 1080p AVCHD set that I made myself of all six films from mkv files posted on newgroups. I however with knowing the Blu-Ray raw format being better and higher bitrate, I would love to get a set of these on BD Discs.

Would anyone be willing to PM me and tell me what the cost would be..?

I would be more than happy to purchase the media ahead of time if needed. Just tell me what to buy and it's done.

Thanks very much.

I've been trying to get WookieGroomer's biggest versions of the saga (the BD50 versions), but  am having some trouble.  I'm new to usenet and don't know all that much yet.  I have started with the original trilogy and have gotten these two so far:

SorryForPostingABadProperNewHopeHereIsAFreshTestedEdition (36Gb)

The.Empire.Strikes.Back.PROPER.REISSUE.Bluray.Format.1080P (40Gb)

I've tried ROTJ, but can't get one that works.  This one:

Wookie.Groomer.Star.Wars.Episode.VI.Return.of.the.Jedi.2009.Bluray.Edition.1080p.nzb

is full of porn and missing a few hundred blocks.

This one:

Wookie Groomer Presents Return.Of.The.Jedi.Bluray.1080P.BD50.WookieGroomer.nzb

is also missing too many blocks.

I have links for the prequel trilogy that I haven't tried, so I don't know about those yet.  Does anyone have a good nzb for ROTJ?  Also are the IV & V I have the proper BD50 versions (size-wise)?

This is brand new to me and I know a lot of this stuff was done years ago and it may be hard to get this stuff, so I appreciate any and all help to get these (and other) great editions :)  Thanks in advance!

Ok, Eps. 1, 2, 3, & 6 don't work.  They all download fine and validate just fine, but they won't unpack correctly.  What's going on here?  I don't know how to troubleshoot this.  Can anyone help????

Update:

It turns out that maybe my usenet program didn't do the par checks correctly.  I used QuickPar on one of them already and was able to unpack it successfully :)  Now, I hope all of them will go this well as it'd be nice to have all 6 movies ;)  Will let everyone know when it's done.

So, I think I got it solved now.  Problem was these files had multiple sets of par2 files.  My program only processes the first set in each folder, and these needed all sets processed.  Once I processed all sets with quickpar, they unrared nicely :)

So... how do I get this onto my PS3 short of a BD burner?

IT'S MY TRILOGY, AND I WANT IT NOW!

"[George Lucas] rebooted the franchise in 1997 without telling anyone." -skyjedi2005

"Yeah, well, George says a lot of things..." a young 1997 xhonzi on RASSM

"They're my movies." -George Lucas. 19 people won oscars for their work on Star Wars (1977) and George Lucas wasn't one of them.

Rewrite the Prequels!

complete set is still available use Binsearch and search for :

Wookie Groomer Presents: For TheBits

This will get you a complete set of BD50's and the artwork.

Posting is about 115 days old so you have to use a decent usenet provider.

I don't remember for sure, but someone might have converted them to AVCHDs.

Use tsmuxer to remux the m2ts to a ts.  (You will need to mount the ISO with Virtual Clone Drive, if the download be an ISO, and pull out the m2ts file.)  MKV2VOB will accept the ts as an input, and break it into chunks without trancoding.

Configuration--> File Splitting --> FAT32

There will probably be about a dozen files, and I believe people rarely break files this big, but it should work.  This approach could be used if you want to literally put the BD-50 onto your PS3:  otherwise, you might be able to stream it, but I have no experience with streaming, so perhaps somebody else could advise you on that.

N.B.  When you load the m2ts into tsmuxer you could take the opportunity to ditch any unwanted audio tracks.  That should reduce the number of chunks if you do choose this route.

What is your email? and I do not have any BD50 rewritable blanks, would it be OK to make a BD25 out of it for testing purposes? or does it have to be BD50 to test? I can test on a Sony BDP-S350 and PS3 new and old version(or fat and slim).

*nevermind about the email, I got it off a NFO file I have.
