Ok, fair enough. But is this a policy change? I've got plenty of threads on my list that were simply locked instead of deleted.

No, there's a difference. I'm encouraging someone to contribute to my list. I'm not going to run around and bait people that haven't done anything, but if someone is going to be an asshole like Bobba Fett, I don't see anything wrong with giving them a little push in the direction they are already headed for the purpose of some lolz.
Jay, this is your forum and you make the rules. But it feels like you've changed the rules a little. That's also your prerogative, but I'm just asking for the chance to document the troll before the thread is deleted. I think locking the thread for a few days, letting me archive it, and then deleting it would be a reasonable compromise.
Of course I'll live with whatever you want to do. I know this is your house and I'll eat whatever you serve for dinner.
