Alien Super 8 is an official 17 minute cut made for pre-VHS market. Duration was limited due to the length of 8mm film roll. It is quite interesting brutally edited cut with quite different ending. Also viewer winds up watching noses and hearing off screen characters due to aweful 4:3 zoomed in framing without pan & scan. Channel 7 intro is a short segment with Sigourney talking about Alien as an exclusive for Aliens Austarlian TV premiere. Fast forward is 3 minute Australian parody. There is also elaborate 12 minute parody of Aliens called FRENCH & SAUNDERS and recent Aliens/Avatar SNL sketch as an Easter egg...
