yet another update about the man who ran onto the field in the 9th Tuesday night's game. It turns out that he had marijuana on him. So he runs out onto the field, knowing he's going get stopped by security guards, while in possession of an illegal substance. bright boy.

I decided to sit Konerko figuring he either wouldn't play or would not be effective. Well, he hit a two-run homer in his first at bat. :p

So we have a few teams that are way behind in games played or innings pitched, mainly because of guys on the DL in their starting lineups.
Should I move those guys to the bench? I've already mentioned it via PM and haven't gotten anywhere. What do you guys think?

I say if they've been told, it's their own fault if they don't move them. Might sound mean, but you can only lead them by the hand so much. It seems to be an interest level problem more than anything.

Brad Lidge may be hurt again and put back on the DL. Can anyone give me a little advice here?

Warb: If he does go on the DL, and you don't have a DL spot available, you have to decide if you want to just hang on to him until you have a DL spot or you can dump him for someone else. There are a couple of closers still on the free agent list, but you have to decide if you think they will be better than Lidge.
Ripplin: I agree with you and I'm inclined to leave it alone. The counter-argument is that because points are assigned by ranking the categories, teams that are not making roster moves affect the rest of the league as well.

I do have enough room on the DL. Jimmy Rollins is the only one left on the DL. I guess I'll just wait and see what happens.

Dat's true. Well, if you can find out for sure if they're definitely not playing, then maybe you should step in. Maybe give them another week to respond, and if they don't, delete their team and make their players free agents? (or just make the team ineligible for scoring)

Garrett Jones was the only guy on either of my rosters playing an early game today, but I didn't start him in either. I decided to see what's up and thought 'he probably hit 5 homeruns today.' :p Well, not quite, but as of now, he's 5/6 with a homer and 5 RBI! :S Raised his batting average 29 points today. And his teammate Andrew McCutchen is 5/5!

Ummm...perhaps you didn't catch one of my earlier posts on baseball. I live in Houston.
On a related note - I think the Pujols homerun should be visible in space as it passes overhead this month.
