Hi all!

I am in the middle of getting a newsgroup downloader so I can check these recordings out. I am an audiophile and LP lover so I'm very curious to hear what's going.

On the capture side, my own experience with the Goldring 1042 cartridge is mixed at best. My friend with a Linn Lp12 had one and I didn't like it at all. However, I have heard other needle-drops on the internet with it and it sounded great.

So i'm going in with a little bias... :)

I would love to make audiophile captures of these, but my own experience in trying to locate well-pressed LPs has been frustrating. I DO have a good "Star Wars", but both of my Empires are off-center so the pitch wavers quite a bit.

ABC, do you vacuum-clean your records?
