Any ideas how the opera CG fest can be toned down or being replaced with some retro ways?

I'd keep the dream sequence but after Anakin wakes up I'd have him leave the room, Padme notices and looks worried, and then wipe to the next scene in the jedi temple, cutting out the balcony convo. That way it's ambiguous where he's going. He could be going to Palpatine for all we know.

Actually he could go straight to Yoda. That would make sense. He needs answers about his dream so he quickly goes to Yoda...although I DO hate alot of the dialogue in that scene... lol

The possible logic behind the new logo is just altering the usual one with something familiar but different for more variation :)

The way I see it the dream sequences are the easiest way to influence the edit. They can imply things and create emotion without too much seamless, continuity style cutting necessary. The content of these sequences can radically alter the film.

Angel your mockups remind me of Star Wars Dark Forces II. That is a compliment. I thought that game had the most classic Star Wars look of anything. The mood is dark and I like that.

I love this! The new effects are looking great! I love how simplified the camera movements are. I do think you should remove the two words? "I suggest" from Palps. Since when does the dark lord of the Sith suggest anything? lol
Question: what was the thought process behind switching around Anakin/Padme lines? I can't decide if it works or not...hmmm
Still, VERY promising stuff!

First thing, thanks for the kind words.

The reason for the switch in the lines was because originaly the conversation starts on a high note, goes bad in the middle , and finishes on a typical high note while they hug. The way it is originaly, nothing other than the fact that Padme's pregnant comes from this conversation. We already know they have a forbidden love thing going on. So originaly this scene is a big waste of time.

The way I edited it, It starts on a bad note. (Anakins reaction to the baby). So now the high note in the middle doesn't seem so high at all. (Them discussing what there gonna do, and Anakin tossing all there worries aside.) And then the whole scene ends on a real bad note, (Anakin letting his lust get the best of him, even after all they just talked about. And Padme having to back him off of her.) Better for this conversation to end bad, leaving questions about these two.

So the way its edited now gives us more insite to the fact that Anakin is slowly gaining more Dark Side thoughts after his ordeal on  the Invisible Hand. Selfishness, lust. He hears what he wants, and blocks out the bad.

More character development the way I did it. Least thats what I think. 8)

 And btw snicket, I love the flares, looking good.

and the scene is not much better now because of that, indeed. :)

 Well I'm doing what I can with whats given, Making lemonaid that's hopefully alittle less bitter. 8)

Lucas wanted us so bad to feel for Anakin, that he was willing to trash Vader (The Main Villain in the following 3 movies) in the process. I'm doing my best to lessen that.

Any clue as to what you would do with the scene TMBTM? I didnt want to just cut the crap out of it, like a few other edits have.

To be honest I thought it came across pretty good, Sets a darker tone to the scene.  I'm always open to thoughts and ideas.
