STAR WARS TRILOGY The Very Special Edition (Feature length parody compilation) Version 1.0 available now.

Intercuting the OT films with many different STAR WARS parodies I put together the whole story of the STAR WARS TRILOGY. I used the ROBOT CHICKEN STAR WARS Specials, the FAMILY GUY Blue Harvest and Something, Something, Something Dark Side, the BBC Darth Vader in Love Spoofs, various fan made parodies I'd found on YOUTUBE, highlights of the STAR WARS Holiday Special and a few jokes of my own creation to compile this 1hr 55min video.

This is version 1.0 and I'm hoping for some feedback from you guys. Having watched the whole thing once so far I've already spoted some problems that I'd like to fix in the STAR WARS TRILOGY The Very Special Edition Special Edition :-)

Well, it wasn't always possible to make the jokes work with the actual footage or at leats make them work as well (eg. the scene where Luke imagines what it would be like if they were "father and son.") I could use the FAMILY GUY jokes as a voice-over because they are mostly faithfull to the orig. scenes and only change the dialog, whereas ROBOT CHICKEN often expands on the existing scenes and so the film footage doesn't fit the dialog)

As to what kind of decisions kept material in or out of this Version 1.0... Well mainly I only used the jokes that I really liked (so most of ROBOT CHICKEN but eg. just a few from FAMILY GUY). Then of course I couldn't use anything that contradicted the storyline. I tried to keep the original story understandable from this cut but keep the whole trilogy under two hours which it think I pretty much managed to do.

Don't have time for more right now but I'll get back to you.

So, did anyone spot some problems? For the next version, I'm probably gonna try to make some lipsync adjustments in the emperor hologram scene and some other minor tweaks. That's all I got so far.

Yeah, I'm gonna redo the Yoda scene, I realy like some of it, though, so the lines that are from the movie are staying in the order of appearence in the scene as is.

Well, I'm starting work on the new version but I'm not gonna rush it, I'd like to avoid making a 3rd version in the future :-)

I've been quite bussy lately so I haven't really started working on version 2 before now, but here's a first new "extended" scene, Han shooting first...

This is some pretty funny stuff (sorry, but the Yoda thing was pretty funny).  I would probably stick to what is in the actual filmed STAR WARS stuff and do the overdubbing, which seemed to work the best (the actual ROBOT CHICKEN part with Palps waiting for his luggage kinda threw everything out of whack, as we just saw him go from human to clay).

Maybe you could play with have Vader's voice modulator "malfunction", which would explain his voice alternating from James Earl to Stewie (some of the lines where Stewie says the same exact line as JEJ have it cut back and forth to get the idea across - maybe show a shot of Vader messing with his chest buttons to try to fix it).

I WOULD shy away from all the "super-sped up stuff" (as it comes across as forced to me), unless of course you are planning on adding Benny Hill music.

This is great I like all the robot chicken and family guy stuff, more of this please! its nice to see a completely different view of the movies rather than just cutting bit outs or improving special effects - no offense to other editors cos i like what they've made, but we just seem to be overrun with those kinds of edits now.

A few people above commented on trying to make it work within the context of the movie - I've been looking for an edit that uses all the scenes from robot chicken and family guy together - rather than keep watching each retail DVD one after another.

I don't mind wether it sticks to the story or not but its nice mixing it with the original movie footage.

Just started watching now. I'll report my findings later. ;) I had subscribed to your channel at some point and totally forgot until I was notified of some of those ROTJ tests, so now I'm gonna check out some of the other vids.
