And, they're off...... lol
Actually nothing Moth3r has said was attacking A-man and his edit. If you read the post he linked to then you will see that he has been offering advice and helping out. But the comment he made didn't warrant the attacks you started to throw. At the end of the day Moth3r was right in that he did predict something like this might happen. The last thing we want is for someone to spend ages on an edit only to have it fall apart due to technical problems. The last thing this thread needs with everything that is going on is someone starting a verbal war, and quite honestly, being very childish. Best just relax and let us carry on trying to help out A-Man with this edit.

hopefully is he is smart enuff, he'll listen to my constructiveness in that being not to talk smack on someone's project.
And hopefully you are smart enough to realise that nothing you said was constructive in any way. Just let it rest. It isn't fair on A-Man to derail his thread like this

Both Ady and I have tried to help Asteroid-Man by requesting sample clips to help work out what these "technical issues" are, which he has so far not bothered to provide.
If I've followed things correctly, A-Man has asked for adywan's help on this.
I think Moth3r was referring to the fact that we have asked for samples (i did pretty recently) so we can see if we can figure out what the problem might be but A-Man hasn't posted any, so we can't see what the problems could be.
A-Man, you're not re-encoding the DVD's again to post the clip i asked for are you? I need the original that you worked with so i can see what codec was used and if there is any problem with the video which would stop Vegas accepting it. It should have only taken a couple of minutes to rip a very small section out of one of them and posted it. If you can't give me a sample of the original file then there is no way i'm going to be able to help you out

I'm not saying I've never screwed up myself - but at least I can admit to my own failings and not blame it on shoddy Canadian DVDs (which, FYI, are likely to be identical to the US releases just with the addition of some French text on the DVD cover).
Yes, the video part of the Canadian DVD would be identical to the US version. It would only be the menus, audio & subtitles that may be different, but the video part would use the same NTSC encode, so there shouldn't have been any problem with the video just because it's a Canadian DVD
