*SPOILERS*

So... why do you think Desmond ran Locke down?  My first guess was that he wanted to give him a life/death experience that, like Charlie, would cause him to see/remember the other timeline.  Me?  I'd rather make-out with Libby at the beach... but whatever.

My workmate thinks that Desmond, somehow, is bringing them all to the Hospital.  Jack is there, Jin/Sun are on their way there, maybe Charlie is still there, Claire, perhaps Sawyer is taking Kate there.  It sort of makes sense.

Getting them all the to hospital?  I don't think so.  Its definitely the near death experience, though I'm not sure Locke will like what he sees.  The rest of the people had true love on the Island.  Unless Locke's true love is the Island.  He's in a unique position because he's dead in the normal universe.  Wait, Charlie is dead, and he doesn't seem to mind the glimpses into the normal universe.

My question(s) upon thinking is this: Was Charlie a candidate?  Do only candidates get glimpses into their other life, or if we hit Ben in the head hard enough will he see Alex as his daughter?
