Ady, I know someone on another forum who had a similar problem when disabling UAC, here's what she did:
If I remember correctly it was basically my whole e drive that kept telling me "you do not have permission" as well as "you do not have access" to do whatever. That included renaming stuff, moving stuff and just in general it wouldn't let me do squat. In my humble opinion, while I understand mr. gates trying to move society to a secure ownership, there is still a large percentage of puter owners that dont give a flying leap about security and would prefer to BE the owner and administrator by default of everything without any blocks or tweaks that need to be accounted for. This should mean that you have access to everything and all things without having to rename or reown or reestablish yourself as having rights.
anyway.. i will stop my rant. In short, you have to take ownership of the directory and its subdirectories, and you have to give yourself permissions for the directory and its subdirectories.
So... I did three things:
Right click on my e drive / properties / security tab / edit button
... IN here I made sure that all Groups or user names had access to everything and full control. Highlight the group or name, and then make sure the "allow" column has everything checked.
Right click on my e drive / properties / security tab / advanced button / Permissions tab
... IN here I clicked "change permissions", then highlighted each of the groups and users in the window, and manually edited each to have "full control" for "This folder, subfolders and files".
Right click on my e drive / properties / security tab / advanced button / Owner tab
... IN here I clicked the "edit" button, highlighted "Owner (Owner-PC\Owner)" (which is me I assume), I then checkmarked the box "Replace owner on subcontainers and objects" and hit apply.
THIS will stop those pesky access and permissions things from popping up. Let me know how it goes!

Hope this helps :)
