If you haven't already I highly recommend getting hold of Jambe Davdar's Returning To Jedi if you are thinking about doing anything with ROTJ.

There were so many ideas and concepts that didn't make the final cut (many appeared to have been filmed).

Some of the comments from the cast and crew also point to places where maybe the the wrong direction was taken.

If you have it already it's worth another look to revise for adding more ideas to this sleeping thread.

If only Lucasfilm would release the footage of the bunker raid and the lose of the female pilot was a shame...Something that could be rectified.

It also appears that they intended to use speeder bikes during the Sail Barge sequence so perhaps adding swoop bikes would make the sequence more in line with earlier versions of the idea.
