They are great so long as Disney never makes a sequel without Pixar.
The original Star Wars trilogy: Our cultural history deserves to be preserved and should be available to the public like all great works of art!

You spoke too soon. Disney has already announced plans for TS3 and it will get a theatrical release. This will be after their deal with Pixar has run out. So it will be Jobs-less.

I sense a disturbance in the force...

Actually I didn't care for the Lion King at all, but I caught part 2 on television and didn't think it was that bad. It had more internal conflict and more interesting character development with human mistrust and misunderstanding as the real villains, rather than a cartoon badguy. Just my 2 cents.

No the movie is great and the animation is fun. It has a cartoony look that works.

Lion King 1 1/2 isn't as bad as Lion King 2, and it stays a lot truer to the spirit of the original film than, say, Return to NeverLand or Jungle Book 2. I still don't know if I'd buy it.
BTW, anyone seen the trailer for Chicken Little (Disney's first in-house CGI film since Dinosaur)? It's on the Brother Bear DVD, which I'd recommend @ least renting for the Tuke & Rutt commentary. The CG looks great, but we'll see if the story holds up.

Brother Bear is the next DVD I have coming from Netflix. I will listen to the commentary on this one. Sounds like a must-listen.
