I went to the first one. Way fun, mostly because I went with some good friends.
After that, I saw the Phantom Menace. Now, I don't think I'd go to another.
I'm wondering if I should go in August. It's in Orlando, and I go to school nearby. Has anyone ever been to one before?
Interesting thought: Maybe there should be an official ot.com table...I'm sure that would turn some heads...maybe if a bunch of us were there....and then everyone could ask Lucasfilm reps about blu not blue, the GOUT, 97SE, theatrical audio etc. face to face.

That would be awesome. I'd love to do that. But I'm nowhere near Orlando, unless that happens to be the name of the guy three booths down in the Tapout T-shirt with his fat, late-teens wife/girlfriend and their three kids.
I use fast food wifi way too often.

I'm goin'. I went to the last one alone, definitely seems like it will be more fun to go with friends.

"Yeah, well, George says a lot of things..." a young 1997 xhonzi on RASSM
"They're my movies." -George Lucas. 19 people won oscars for their work on Star Wars (1977) and George Lucas wasn't one of them.
I'm just mulling over logistics and the fact that it will cost $130 plus the enormous amounts I would spend on merchandise. It has got to be impossible to resist something, and I could be saving for more lasers etc.
Not to mention the prequel overload...

We went to IV here in LA. It was a blast. The Friday was the best to see the exhibits and the seminars, as Sat and Sun were PACKED. Best part was Boba landing in the main courtyard via jetpack, the Vader Helmets, and all of the great costumes that everyone was wearing. Go Darth Talon!! The two I saw were smokin!!
And yes, I spent WAY too much.
I made a video set to music of all of my pictures (and others from Flickr). Since I didn't ask for their permission, I haven't uploaded it. But I did give them credit at the end.
It has always been at Comic Cons and Celebrations that photography and videography is permitted. Here's their verbage.

Star Wars junkie Jon Stewart will be spending some quality time with franchise creator George Lucas this August, EW.com has learned exclusively. The Daily Show host will interview Lucas live in a one-hour conversation at Star Wars Celebration V
I guess that explains the Death Star model wedged under the Daily Show desk. ;)
Where were you in '77?
I asked Jon to ask Lucas if we can have the original versions we grew up with on Blu-ray. ;-)

"Fan questions" can be submitted on the celebration website.
Wonder how many submitted questions we can enter for an OOT restoration.
