Asteroid-Man, I want to address a few things when I have more time, but for the moment, I'll just apologize if you felt I was attacking you or your edit.  It was not my intention.

Alright thanks, but if your intention wasn't to attack the edit, there's no need for you to apologize. The comment was directed for those that would attack the edit. ;)

As you know I defended your work in progress version against detractors who couldn't be bothered to read the description.

However when you announce a project (especially one born out of an already highly anticipated idea which sadly didn't reach fruition) it's understandable that people will want the final version to be a reasonable standard.

It's because we believe in the strength of the central idea and want you to succeed that people drive you on and not to leave the project unsatisfactory putting it down to it being your first go.

It's a learning process and all strength to you for even starting such a task but if there is an issue with the AOTC footage and Ady cannot find a quick fix please don't give up.

It can be tedious work doing this sort of thing and it may seem horrifying to have to go back and go over it all over again but if a job is worth doing and this is, then it's worth doing as well as you currently can.

It's not an attack on you to express the hope you will do this, it's more a push of encouragement.

See what Ady can do first but don't put it out until you are reasonably satisfied with it.

Bingowings has given you good advice.

If it is only AOTC clones footage and the rest of it plays fine, one solution might be to use Womble to remove the Canadian AOTC footage and replace it with American AOTC footage frame by frame and smart render the result.  As Womble can smart render, there wouldn't be any real quality loss.  It might save your skin.

Yes, to me the hard technical part of editing is the sound editing after all.

If the problem here is only a frame rate trouble on some parts, I'm sure it still can be fixed.

Ady, would you prefer getting the DVD from Ripplin, or the raw MPEG video? I could just send that if you'd like.

Haha! Well we'll see which would be easier to work with. My only concern is, would ady be able to reburn the video with the the original menus I made?

Ripplin... Technical mistakes aside.... How did the edit go?

It's tight. He did a good job with the cuts and all that jazz. The image quality is good too, especially considering the length of the edit. One big difference between this version and the older one, I found, was that there's no more Ian McDiarmid narration. At first, I thought I'd miss it, but I think it's better without it, seeing as it couldn't be carried all the way through.

Would you be able to go over your old review and comment on changes and such for people?

(As far as I know, the only technical problem with the edit is the slight drag in the AOTC scenes)
