Yeah, but sometimes all it takes is just one or two lines of dialogue to take care of something.  Things like cellphones in a horror movie ("hey, my cellphone has no signal out in the middle of nowhere... I'm in a horror movie, aren't I?) or Aliens/Russians speaking english (LAST STARFIGHTER or HUNT FOR RED OCTOBER) have to be addressed if you want someone to take your story seriously.

You could show a set of cascading "chain reaction" explosions going down the row of those huge electric conduits we see behind the Imp officer who stops Han.  Then again, who is to say that Han is placing explosives?

Maybe he sets locators which tell the rebel fleet where the shield generator is, which allows the ships to bombard it and destroy it (ala OPERATION: CROSSBOW).  That would allow any number of "war movie barrage" scenes to be inserted (say, replace Forrest Gump with Han, as he runs away from large explosions, or something to that effect).
