STAR WARS: EP V "REVISITED EDITION"ADYWAN - 12GB 1080p MP4 VERSION AVAILABLE NOW — Page 674

Adywan I'm sure you've noticed/fixed this already but there's something that's always bothered me in ESB.

Whenever we see several Star Destroyers in a scene they don't move in relation to each other, because all three were just static props and the camera moved in relation to them. Not always if course, in the asteroid chase scene the three Star Destroyers move in relation to each other, but for example before the Battle of Hoth we see three Star Destroyers in orbit and they all move the same.

Could you perhaps liven them up a bit? Make the two other Star Destroyers move a bit slower/faster than the first one?

Just a quick informal question.

What is the reason that ady uses the same starfield backdrop in the space shots?

is it a honor tribute to some original starfield from GOUT? Or its a matte located somewhere that is a reference?

Its easier than making a new one for each shot?  I don't know, I never noticed.  UNTIL NOW.  Thanks Angel :-P

well yeah.. making a starfield is piece of cake.

Ady said that this is the same starfield with the ANH:R.

I dont have problem with that.. just wondering :)

... Is Culture and Creativity narrowing ?

I have nothing against digital paintings that I happen to use myself but the lazyness of mind that comes with it is sometimes quite... Obvious.

Guess again :P

I googled Googie and not Dubai for reference :P but thanks because i was looking buildings like these in dubai :D

Adywan,

As I said earlier I didn't follow the thread until a few pages back, so I guess most people here know what is going on. I've just considered the OP post closely what leaded me to one simple question...

... Are you an army to complete this project ???

(And I'll understand if you don't have time to answer).

Doing some thinking about the whole scene with Leia's room, etc., when I came across this...;)

Recently 'discovered' outtake from ESB.

Why would they do that if they are flying in formation or something?

Author

Even in formation they wouldn't move 100% at the exact same speed. Just watch that scene, it's just too noticeable that it's just three static props and the camera simply zooms in.

Just look at the formation of fighter planes during an air show, there's always a subtle difference.

I'm not suggesting that they all have hugely different speed and direction, just enough to make it more believable.

Just rewatched the trailer for this, noticed at the end that it stated 'Coming 2010', is this still accurate?  If so do we have a very rough ETA? Obviously i understand that Ady is doing this in his spare time and at great expense to himself but i want to make clear that i'm not pressuring for it to be release, merely curious when it might be likely to be finished, possibly on the basis of it's completeness at the moment?

The plan is December 2010.  So the trailer is still true, from a certain point of view.

Maybe i suggest a possible topic's name change that give more clues about the new release dates that changing from time to time?

My plan is simply to busy myself with other things until it suddenly shows up...but that's just me.

Ady, could you perhaps tell us your workstation's specs? I'm curious as to what a beast of a machine you're using for this :)

And how's the old homestead coming along?

I'm not sure if this has been asked before but are there any plans to expand what Threepio says when Chewie goes ape in the Carbon freezing chamber?

In the current DVD version he just says "I'm not ready to die", on The Story Of The Empire Strikes Back album and possibly (please correct me if I'm in error) some prints he says "I'm not ready to die on the back of a demented Wookiee!".

I seem to remember another version when he said "I'm not ready to die at the hands of a demented Wookiee!" too but I may just be remembering the previous line wrong.

Ady, When you do the making of, you should show your workstation. It would be cool, as a sort of "this is where the real work got done."

"The other versions will disappear. Even the 35 million tapes of Star Wars out there won’t last more than 30 or 40 years. A hundred years from now, the only version of the movie that anyone will remember will be the DVD version [of the Special Edition], and you’ll be able to project it on a 20’ by 40’ screen with perfect quality. I think it’s the director’s prerogative, not the studio’s to go back and reinvent a movie." - George Lucas

Yeah, he is doing a better job and people are gutting his place. George has a big ranch with pools and restaurants. Ady has to do his edit with a gutted kitchen.

Sometimes (actually I think most of the time) cheap equipment or facilities make you go beyond your own limits, or what is thought reasonably possible. If you only knew from what piece of junk came the jewel you heard last day, not mentionning my current project... It's the Milenium Falcon ! (She also was able to make 3D at a time, but now she's a little tired. No light speed!).

So yes, I think it's the best way to learn.

Hey, I agree. I got good at guitar, by trying to make my cheap acoustic sound like an expensive electric.

Yes, I have my own little rendition of (nearly) every song from the trilogy soundtracks.
