Yeah an eternal Indy in modern times could be interesting, but ther's no way its gonna happen. The cameo chase bit Ford did on Young Indy with a Native American partner was lacklustre at best, and frankly Ford is more than a little old. I'm just happy to let sleeping dogs lie and avoid a possble episode 1 drop in quality.

Besides, the other guys are right, Indy isn't immortal and he's well established as the elderly narrator in the fedora on the young Indy series, which is all canon to lucas with all its official chapter numbers tied to the trilogy.
