Did you buy the new Divimax version from Anchor Bay, or do you have one of the older ones?

If your friend doesn't like scary movies why force them to do so? Why not jsut respect that they know what they can handle and what they can't? Isn't that what friends do?
As for the new DotD. I saw it, and I quite liked it. I'm not big on zombie films, but I got a kick out of this one. Its not scary, except in the sense that its a hopeless scenario, and hte idea of having to kill loved ones who come back to eat you is pretty chilling, but I wouldn't classify it as a horror movie (though it is gory)
The acting was surprisingly good for this sort of film, and I really thought Jake Weber gave his best performance to date. Sarah Polley was great, and super hot as always.
And I'm a monkey, in a long line of kings.

I havent seen the remake, and I wasn't planning to, but I've been railroaded into it now by friends so I guess I'll be seeing it tonight. There was no celebrity shooting in the original Dawn of the Dead.

it is different in a way that you cant cant compare them. they both took the same idea but did different things with it. in 28days later it was about one guy traveling aroundlundon trying to survive it was very dark and was a thriller. dawn of the dead on the other had IMO was brighter, there was alot alot alot more gorw and there was quite abit of comedy (E.G. at one point in the movie the guys across the street who was the owner of an arms store sets of a sniperrifle, and takes pot shots as celeberties that are zombies on the street.) also the magority of the movie in in the mall which is like a paradise, in 28 days later there was no place like this. it was all dark and scary and thrilling. personally i liked 28 days later more but that does not mean that it was better then DOTD
