It's a 2 second shot and with the speed an object needs to fall it wouldn't matter how clear you made the object (which it already is now) it would just be the same old blur as its falling. And not only that but what would the object need to look like so it looks like a piece of the vane that will be noticeable enough for this quick shot?
Also i really can't see how the script give this a more dramatic effect than the movie.

You take the word "clear" too literally. I was thinking that if the piece is shown breaking off along with an unsettling sound effect, it will not only clear up what is falling, but also add the element of "Oh dear, this thing is falling apart!" if you know what I mean?
