My grandmother likes frogs, so I got her this:

I had it for several weeks, waiting to give it to her, but she's in a nursing home and they had the place under quarantine because of the flu, so I couldn't give it to her. Gave it to her on the weekend and she got a real kick out of it. :)

It's from Naruto, so that's the most awesome thing ever.

What the hell is Naruto?

Fixed that for you.

The link is too difficult to hit.  Can you tell me what's there?

See, that's why I also pasted the completely real content for you. If you want me to read it to you, well, I'm only happy to do so:

Incidentally, I also read to seniors this way. Somehow it's counting towards my community service.

Sorry to double post, but I had to read it right. "usu." is a convention found in visual reading, but since I was reading aloud, I had to correct it to "usually", otherwise you might not have known what I was talking aboout.

The forum search feature is seriously messed up. I searched the Off Topic forum for the word "CP3S" and I only got sixteen results. That's got to be off by like a hundred at least.

Try "C3PX."  It's a horribly common typo.

I feel bad for the guy, considering even he misspells it.

Funny how the maximum volume is 0, too. Whatever happened to 11?!

I think that out of the 6 receivers I've had, only the first one--an ancient Toshiba or something that I kinda miss--had positive numbers. Hadn't really thought of it before.

Update: I found a pic of my first receiver! (and I wish I could see the volume knob area better)

Weighed a TON. My uncle had the exact same one, which is part of why I got mine. I knew it was a good machine. He gave me a pair of his speakers to use with mine, too.

It is possible to find such material at five minutes from my home (I'm not in a big town), for between $30 and $50...

I actually have an old Sansui amplifier (1982) I bought E40, and an old Marrantz CD player I bought E30... No guaranty, but works fine. ;)

One night/morning around 1 AM, well after the rest of my family was asleep, I was sitting on the floor listening to "Bad Horsie" by Steve Vai with my Toshiba, fairly loud. I had on some bassy headphones and somehow didn't realize right away that not only was the sound coming through the headphones, but also the speakers! I started feeling the vibrations on the floor and thought "uh oh!" I'm sure everyone woke up, but they didn't say anything in the morning. :p

My cheap receiver goes up to 42.  Forty-two.  No higher.  Seems like an odd (well, even) number to stop on.
