Or was it previously established earlier that he was fighting with a red Sith lightsaber and Anakin left his Jedi blue lightsaber behind or something? I personally did not like Anakin was using a blue lightsaber against Obi's blue. Harder to track the fight and it just looked weird.

Yeah the whole lightsaber issue....I don't have a good answer. I agree that I would rather have a red vs blue battle...but I don't know how Obi would end up with Anakins blue saber to pass on to Luke...
