OK, so I've been playing around with the last few scenes from ROTS for a while now:

It's funny that I've titled this ROTS_newtimeline because I don't think this particular video shuffles any of the original scenes around drastically...but don't worry...there's more to come.  ;)

This video would've been longer but for some reason I was having issues uploading a 9 minute version...so I'll be uploading the other part soon.

 Cool thanks! I tried to make it sound a little more like a real conversation, ya know? And I tried to make Anakin sound a little more insane with less of his rationalizing...I personally believe he should be too far gone at this point in the movie...IMHO  ;)

Wonderful!  I think all the ideas you you've presented here would work perfectly if you can find a way to more seamlessly integrate them. 5 stars

Very nice... I like although Yoda being knocked out that long makes him look really weak. =( It would then bring up the question of why doesn't Sideous just finish him while he's down?

Would of loved to see Thrawn somewhere in the Clone Wars... In fact that would been an great tie in for that series into later in the EU.  You are right though, GL wouldn't do it nor does he really care all to much. Dave Filoni is a hardcore fan and EU knowledgable, he actually attempts to inject as much EU as possible into the Clone War series however some of the more reasonable ideas are rejected.

Vibro-blades with cortosis weaves for example... instead GL said "no, nothing can block a lightsaber" so let's make a "darksaber" (from the new Mandolarian plot story line, don't get me started on how much he's f'd the Mandarlores...). Yet, Episode III has those Phrik electrostaves used by those IG-100 Manga guards of General Grevious... GL literally forgets, doesn't know or care concerning these things and his visions have no continuity anymore. They're on the fly, sporadic, and on the whim.

would it be possible to have Anakin Start to choke Pandamay or panda bear or what ever the hell her name is as he says "Obi wan turned you against me" to me it would make him seem more impulsive and irrational!

Well, my intention was to make it look like Palps killed Yoda. Thus his line: "At last the Jedi are no more!"

For me, it is perfectly fine to have Yoda look weak. He comes in being to cocky for my taste anyways (I tried to dial that down too)...Yoda should be knocked down a peg or two.  ;)

It does need a bit more brainstorming to get the general idea to work.

It does cut out a ton of BS though.

Vader does choke Padme at a funny time too, I know he is fired up on hubris but to have him do that with very little provocation seems a bit odd and there are still some of the wonkiest lines in there.

Once again though it's certainly snappier.

It's a bit late here but I try and think of something tomorrow.

 Oh I agree about Anakin and pretty much anything he has to say in this scene is terrible. I didn't attempt it in this edit but I personally think he should be redubbed just like in SOTDS.

Everyone has their own tastes and I agree it could defianantly be better. I'm trying to understand these characters and make it flow better...and at the same time I'm very limited with what footage I'm given.

LOL! Yeah, Yoda is very weak for a Jedi Grand Master... I do like the new ending and the cutting back of Anakin's whiny @ss angsty dialog especially removing "You under estimate my power" and then having nearly all his limbs cut off like a chump. lol

However, how does Anakin's lightsaber get to Obi Wan to pass on to Luke then? Or was it previously established earlier that he was fighting with a red Sith lightsaber and Anakin left his Jedi blue lightsaber behind or something? I personally did not like Anakin was using a blue lightsaber against Obi's blue. Harder to track the fight and it just looked weird.

 Yeah the whole lightsaber issue....I don't have a good answer. I agree that I would rather have a red vs blue battle...but I don't know how Obi would end up with Anakins blue saber to pass on to Luke...

The talent of yours making a movie to be similar in editing and aesthetic to an other is brilliant..

Just look how many fancy choreography you cut and the duel already toned oted down.. Fantastic!

I didnt mind yoda look like weak.. In fact he is strong but stylistic speaking dark side is at its best.. so a deeper meaning is behind that..

 Well, the only real problem is knowing Anakin is Obi wans only apprentice. I don't have a good answer for this. But I'm not giving up hope yet...  ideas? anyone?  ;)

This might sound daft but what if you just had the truncated battle in the senate incorporating his entrance into the room which I've always loved and left it with Yoda apparently falling to his death (Yoda could plausible seem to have died then).

After that you could have the scene of Yoda making his escape with Bail.

 This could work...
