The thread most definitely does not need to die. People are having fun on it and nothing is stopping people having film discussions on it.

Watched Lars and the Real Girl last night.
Um....
Wow.
If you're complaining about the lack of originality in Hollywood, and you saw Transformers, Avatar etc. and didn't see this... well, shame on you.
It's a little weird at first, but if you stick with it, I think most of you will find it to be a very interesting movie.
I saw the trailer for that Lars movie and I nearly puked. No thank you. But then I'm not complaining about the lack of originality in Hollywood. Though I'd certainly agree with any view that looks down on Avatar and the recent Transformers movie.

Agreed. You started a good thread, Darth.

What about it almost made you puke? I had seen the movie poster all over, but I hadn't seen the trailer prior to seeing the movie. It seemed better to me that I really had no idea where it was going.
IT'S MY TRILOGY, AND I WANT IT NOW!

"Yeah, well, George says a lot of things..." a young 1997 xhonzi on RASSM
"They're my movies." -George Lucas. 19 people won oscars for their work on Star Wars (1977) and George Lucas wasn't one of them.

Rewatched ET. Easily has Williams' best work as a composer if you were to ask me - I teared up several times merely because of the musical score. Maybe I'm feeling sappy today. On another topic, on my VHS copy, the terrorist line is cut entirely - not just changed to a hippie. Weird how censorship changes in degree from release to release.
A Goon in a Gaggle of 'em
Ive havin to play catch-up with every episode of Dexter too much to be bothered with filums lately (and i dont like following any TV series since i got into Lost, then got lost).
Box sets are brilliant though! Bless the maker! But they can dominate ones life a little too much.....
Im still waiting on the next family guy episode FFS, instead of transformers3, or Avatar2!
But this tread is about filums, not how there is a push with conventional viewing, over new blockbuster movies though.
Shows like that can be very moreish when you don't have to wait between episodes.
Here at Chateau Bingowings went through five seasons of House MD in about two weeks after never seeing an episode before.
Another snag, i hope.
Im gonna have to re-title this tread to "viewing i seen last night", but i could get all sicko even more than i is already :-(
This tread is supposed to die and what am i doing though??
Darth, PM sent a few days ago...
Thanks frink. That was no BS BTW. I just have my own mission i guess.
Deleted. Message received.
Damn, i need to watch a movie now.
This is like arguing with a ghost. Editing your post two hours later changes the meaning of my follow up. But I suppose it's my fault for not quoting you.
Never mind.

See, this is what I'm talking about. I saw your original post, where you asked if we were good. But I didn't have time to respond. I come back a few hours later to say "sure, we're good" and you've edited your post to a frowny face.
Come on guys kiss and smudge make-up.
Honestly I'm still not sure what Darth is talking about. But it's all good.
*smooch*
Stop the censorship!!! What is the point in belonging to a non-censored forum (about getting the non-altered version of a film released no less) if the members are going to constantly choose to censor themselves.
