Cartoon-to-Real conversions are bound to fail - and rather pointless, imho. Just leave the stuff in cartoon style and deliver a good story instead of trying to sell the movie over the 1337 new SFX or that "look we can do it with real people, too" effect - it just gives me the creeps most of the time.
