European players, including German ones, play both PAL and NTSC without problems.  If you really cannot get hold of a PAL copy (and if you have rapidshare you will be able to) then the NTSC version will work fine on your setup.

i dont have a rapidshare account if u mean that....

and i still cannot find the adywan revisited 2008 version...only some several single files of very small size

also, can u tell me what the difference between dvd9 and 5 is?

i have a blue ray disc drive.... and am pretty clueless to the whole matter...obviously :S

i would read myself into the topic but 325 pages are a lot.

Should be.  Give it a try.  Might want to delete it from your post though.  That counts as "link to download" which isn't allowed around here.

My outlook on life - we’re all on the Hindenburg anyway…no point fighting over the window seat.

DVD-5 and DVD-9 are single layer and dual layer DVDs respectively.  The movies are 99.9% the same, but the DVD-9 come with the bonus features, etc.

4.7 GB is the DVD-5, or as much as a single layer DVD will fit.  It's just the right size for that version.

*cough* Should say "up to" here.

And it works out to about 4.4GiB and 8.0GiB respectively.

I stand corrected.

I do not have the bandwith or the programs to create a suitable DVD for my blu-ray player. Is there any other way I could get this on DVD? Maybe I could pay shipping for a copy?

You could download it *really* slowly over a matter of months ...

What do you mean you need to make a DVD for your blu-ray player but you do not have the programs?

Do you mean:

1.   You want to burn the AVCHD of Adywan's ANH (onto a DVD-9 disc), in which case wrong thread!

2.  That your blu-ray player cannot play AVCHDs, so you need to convert it to DVD?  In which case,  the programs you need are free, and wrong thread again.

3.  That you want a copy of ANH Revisited on DVD, in which case this is the right thread and you would not "create" the DVD as such, you would just have to burn it after you downloaded it (with a great free program).

You can download from rapidshare or torrent for free.  It will not take months with a torrent or even on a free rapidshare account.  I have done both before with very restricted bandwidth.  It might take a number of days, but you can stop and start the download without a problem.  I can PM you details for either method.  There is certainly a way in which you could obtain what you want.

The way I read that was "I don't want to spend my valuable and limited bandwidth downloading 7.7GB of DVD". I figured the "blu-ray player" reference was just to indicate that he wants a physical DVD of it.

I'd rather hear from him what he meant.

He doesn't have to download the dual-layer version, and he doesn't have to download it all at once.

OK, I've read a lot about this edit, and used to have a copy which I somehow lost.

I own the actual EP IV dvd, so I'd like to download and burn a copy of Adywan's version.  I tried torrent sites.  I found the seed but no one to get it from.  Can anyone help me here?  Email me a link or whatever?  I already tried emailing adywan but I' sure he's too busy for stuff like this...

I've got 4.7 Gig discs ready to burn on, but I'll buy some of the double layer discs if the upgrades are worth it.

THanks!

Anyone who could email me or help me with this is greatly appreciated.

Please!

I have tried every which way to get this to burn correctly and have been unsuccessful. I NEED this disc as the dual disc version. Can someone -- anyone -- burn me a copy???? Please. I pay for the disc and postage. I'll donate money to a cause. I'll do anything for a copy. Help me any forum member. You're my only hope.

Please email me at john@jangleamc.com if you are willing to do so. Thanks!

Why not post some details of your burn attempts first and maybe we can help you.

Cool screen name, btw.

EDIT: Not quite fast enough, was I Ady?
