If you're looking for a new card, I'd suggest something that uses the Philips Saa7163 or Saa7164 chipset, or the ATi Theatre 550 or 650 (the latter may not work with VirtualDub, though). These chips include 3D comb filters to get better quality from composite sources - but because of the way some LD players process the signal this may not be a benefit.

It says this doesn't process any sound. How do you yourself process the audio to add when you're ready?
