ABC's coverage of the Olympic games.
My full head of brown hair & not his thin graying mass that has replaced it
I really miss that

TUC with bacon. I tasted them once on a scout trip, but I was never able to find them again in any store. Ohhhhhhh they were so tasty, finally I had found a cracker that also tasted like bacon!
Do they still produce/sell them? Surely there must be some around :(
I reply to myself. They still produce them, thank heavens!
My sister, that otherwise behaves exactly like Lucy Van Pelt, surprised me with a package of these wonderful crackers.
I was so happy I did the Snoopy Dance!!
.........Yes, I've been reading lots of Peanuts, lately. Why do you ask?
Narrow mouthed soda cans.
That plastic cap that went on the bottom of 2 litre soda bottles.
That long blue communal hand towel in public restrooms that we all got to share.
Okay, not really... but sometimes it's amusing to think of what has disappeared and you haven't had cause to think about for a while.

Yes, I miss that store.
"The other versions will disappear. Even the 35 million tapes of Star Wars out there won’t last more than 30 or 40 years. A hundred years from now, the only version of the movie that anyone will remember will be the DVD version [of the Special Edition], and you’ll be able to project it on a 20’ by 40’ screen with perfect quality. I think it’s the director’s prerogative, not the studio’s to go back and reinvent a movie." - George Lucas

I miss how important the TV was. Back in the day, when I was a kid, that dang TV was the centerpiece of our house for information, news, learning, and entertainment. We watched Sesame Street and learned some of what we needed. We plugged our Atari and Nintendo into it and had fun, watched the evening tv shows that entertained us (A-Team & Knight Rider), then finished out the day with the 10 o'clock news for our information. Nowadays, everything is spread out and crazy. I get some news from the TV, some from the interwebs, some from the newspaper, some from here, some from there. I get my entertainment from the interwebs, some from playing the Xbox, some from here, some from there. It's just all crazy these days. My learning from the interwebs, some from work, some from here, some from there.
I miss the good ol' days of one box, one place.
This was my drunken post of the day. Thank-you.
I miss having to actually go to a friends house to see if they are in.

Yeah, There was one in my town within walking distance of my house and school. I used to walk there from school and do my Christmas shopping there. I have fond memories of it. Btw, are you from the Philly area?
I searched for a picure of the cap... but I can tell you it was thin plastic and it was black for Coke and Green for Sprite.

Go-Bots (I don't miss them, but i miss the competition when your friends used to bring go-bots to your house and i knew deep down my transformers were better)
That robot that could get you drinks, i think it was called the Omnibot 3000. looked like the robot from Rocky IV's retarded baby. i wanted one so bad!
The NES Advantage controller (the actual joystick one. loved that thing)
Photon! (poor man's laser tag, but looked HELLA cooler!)
Ecto Coolers... (you know you miss'em)
Coke II (yea, just a knockoff of new coke after it epic failed in the 80s, but still... it was different!)
And, of course, Captain Power! (google it. f'ing awesome)

Ah, 2-XL, the sarcastic toy robot that would teach you things and call you names. These kinds of cool toys don't exist anymore...

I certainly do remember the plastic thingies (and are actually glad they're gone... not aesthetically pleasing), but I did not remember that "Lymon" had been coined so long ago!

Not that that is going to stop you from dreaming… Only in this case, Gaffer is actually a guy.

Cherry Coke, Code Red, and Cracklin' Oat Bran are alive and well in Minnesota...
As for me, I'd love to have some 1989 Batman cereal again.

Oh yeah!! I didn't know what you were talking about at first, but I do now. I miss those things myself, they were awesome for do-it-yourselfers like me, these things could all sorts of Macgyver type stuff. Especially the one's with no holes on the bottom. Anyhow, great pick!!
