Often the skin tones of actors are too magenta but it's important to bear in mind that Kenneth Colley is British and we don't get the opportunity to tan like Carrie Fisher in a metal bikini in Yuma.
While there is a broad rainbow of skin tones in Britain the English who are referred to as white in government forms tend to be more pink than brown or gold (though the Scots tend to be more blue than white).
