Now you've done it...

At any rate, I miss Golden Saute.  We ate it in college because we were to poor to afford Pasta Roni.

What was wrong with Star Trek VI? Great Trek movie IMO, same with the new one.

Author

I said Star Trek V, not Star Trek VI.

Author

Well, technically you said "before V" which implies you didn't like V or anything after, including VI.

Author

I have nothing against Star Trek VI,  its just that Star Trek V seemed to mark a turning point.   As good as Star Trek VI was,  Star Trek just wasn't the same after Star Trek V.

80's era MTV.  Actual music videos?  What a concept.

Also, late 80's MTV show Remote Control.

Cheap Seats.  Two guys making fun of sports MST3K style.

Come to think of it - MST3K.  I know there is now The Film crew, Riff Trax, and Cinema Titanic.  But still.

Not gone yet but they will be in a few years.

Don't worry VINH, I really have a hard time imagining this 3D BS really taking off. As long as you have to wear some silly glasses for it to work, it is going to remain a short lived gimmick.

DVDs on the other hand... yeah, they're on their way out.

Now that blu prices (both players and discs) are approaching "normal" levels (i.e. what DVDs were back in their heyday), and since all blu-players can play DVDs, there won't be any reason not to upgrade when your current player craps out.

You'll be able to watch 3D Blu Ray movies in 2D if you want.  It might be a small consolation, but it's something...

The entire "Border's Cafe" coffeeshops inside Borders stores. Specifically their line of thick, sweet Chai-style drinks.

Now it's all "Seattle's Best Coffee" which I find to be an inferior product.

The previous version of Microsoft Office, whichever version it was that I used to use at work.

I know, let's get rid of the pulldown menus that everyone knows how to use because we need to release a new product with changes so we can make money again.

My Teddy.

Yes to those ones especially!

I miss intermissions at the movies, especially during movies as long as LOTR/AVATAR when you need more popcorn or need a pee.

If television is chewing gum for the mind, then the prequels are the worlds first visual laxative.

I agree. I was dumb when I watched Fellowship. But when TT and ROTK came out I didn't buy any popcorn or coke.

"The other versions will disappear. Even the 35 million tapes of Star Wars out there won’t last more than 30 or 40 years. A hundred years from now, the only version of the movie that anyone will remember will be the DVD version [of the Special Edition], and you’ll be able to project it on a 20’ by 40’ screen with perfect quality. I think it’s the director’s prerogative, not the studio’s to go back and reinvent a movie." - George Lucas
