Another idea I had when putting together my little selection box of fiddles earlier was an exterior re-establishing interstitial shot (should Palpatine's attack on Luke be cut in half) of the tower with the flickering Force lightning lighting up the windows from inside.
Maybe even a shot of the guards outside with Luke screams playing over their blank motionless faces.
Han's screams in ESB outside the Bespin torture chamber are much more frightening than the scenes inside it because we know something terrible is going on in there but we don't know what it is.
Prolonging Luke's agony while something else is going on may add tension to whatever scene you cut away to (there again it may spoil it) which is why it's worth experimenting to find out.
Once again this thread isn't exclusively for Ady (we all want to see what he is going to do with this episode but other people may do other things with it).

In fact PS crashed before i could save one shot with the guards :(
anyways.. not so happy with but still better than before..
the pose isnt expressive enough so the arm can fit properly..

Great mockups as usual Vaderios! I love the throneroom with the planet Endor in the background, and the enhanced binders on Luke are a nice and subtle way to connect the PT with the OT a little.
As a movie ROTJ is a little bland to me, saved by some great moments. The story can't be changed a lot, but ideas like Vaderios' can make the movie at least interesting to look at, and take the whole experience to a new level.

Good job on your recent mock-ups Angel. To choose a set that would look amazing in ROTJ:R, I would go for all the dark looking ones, like the Luke and Vader walking up the staircase and the other dark looking shots of Vader looking for Luke etc.
I like how the darkness encompasses the throne room and it emphasises that the Emperor is a really dark being who lives in the shadows. It's perfect. Yoda even says that 'the domain of evil' is something that is very dark (Bingowings mentioned something along the same lines). The lights on the panels add to the atmosphere and I have to admit that ROTJ does have quite boring cinematography and design. It would make sense to go further and add some much needed darkness to the Emperor's throne room and then everything else can tie neatly into it - like the corrected lightsabers and starfield etc.
The force-fielded binders (ala. ROTS) is also a very neat idea; I'm all for that. And it goes without saying that we should see the forest moon of Endor in the background - even with some lighting effects if that is possible.

The idea that vader interupts palps from his sleep...eeer his observation.. i thought puting something like an hologram projected from the top section of palps chair.. so he can act busy at least...

That's great Angel - maybe we should have something coming out of the ground that's projecting that holo - and when he turns to face Vader he can switch it off and the thing that's projecting it can retract back into the floor or something :)

The ground projector could require more efford to be done. Besides it can be more advance having something projected from the chair.
@BarBar:
The surface is not visible from that angle if we follow the movie's canon.
If we can force other perspectives then seek my older DS mockups :)

That reminds me of Jedi Love when Anikin walks into the chancelors chambers and Palps is playing a 3d mesh of tetris.
Makes scence hes studying the attack of the rebels anilitically, rather than just visually.

The projector could be in the top of the throne. so the image could swivel when he swivels.
It's a shame Luke can't deliver a kick to Vader's chest which might set him up into that position rather than him so of wiggling into position so Luke can hack that fake hand off.
I don't know if there is footage elsewhere which could be used to pull such a move off.

There are greeblies on the top/front of the throne, just above the Emperor's head. Two identical things right next and right left of the center. These could well be made into holoprojectors.

Good call.. Still the room is rotating so we can see endor and the battle as the time passes.. Plus gets more visually interesting
