hmm, I'll have to re-watch the fire wagon scene and compare it to the original. I actually didn't notice. All the more reason to have the theatrical cut released. This is why I say release both versions. You(and probably others) prefer the original. I kinda prefer the director's cut(even though I still have the original released), its the one that is closest to the Broadway musical. The solution? make both of us happy by releasing both versions.

As for you widescreen thing, yeah it can get a bit annoying to see others botch it by messing up the settings on their TVs or having the picture ratio improperly broadcast. Still, when I watch a widescreen movie on my new HD TV(with everything set properly), it is a big improvement over watching a Widescreen movie on a standard tv. A Big improvement.
