Didn't Sadaam get "elected" every so often? If i remember correctly, he would get like 99% of the vote. Surely the other 1% were "removed from the equation," but then he would get 99% the next time as well. Who were these new 1%? Did they move from Iran? Did some locals change their mind because they were ready for "change?"
