Warbler, do you want to talk about this in the baseball thread? Because I believe Rose should be kept out - he committed the Cardinal Sin in baseball. Gambling turns whatever sport it infects into professional wrestling without all the entertaining sideshows.

I strongly object to the view that the death penalty should be used for child rapists. Using the death penalty for anything but murder is an abuse. Death only for death. And even then the death penalty should be used sparingly.

I'd only settle for a full investigation of the crime and the punishment of all parties involved (who are still living).

that certainly doesn't seem unreasonable, as long as Polanski is returned to the states for the investigation and it is kept in mind that he did plead guilty to the crime in question.
