I'm with you, Warb. Not sure how drugs and sex being seen in a different light back in the 70's is suppose to vindicate the guy for drugging and raping a 13 year old. Obviously, if it really wasn't a big deal back then, then there would have been no issue in the first place, it would probably been a pretty normal occurance, and none of us would even remember it ever having happened, if it even went public in the first place. 

Kind of scary the man's wife can sit back and defend his actions. Something along the lines of "Yes, he did a horrible thing, but he was going through a lot back then and is a different man now." would have been different and something I might have been able to sympathize with, but instead she is essentially saying that he is the same wonderful man he has always been man and that the times have changed, making his actions seem far worse than what they were when they happened.
