The 30 - 60 generation seems to be waiting to see how it all works out. Meanwhile the 20-somethings (from the looks of the photos of supporter gatherings, the few blogs I've read, and some of my co-workers) are making it a point to go online en masse and attack the enemy. They don't seem to understand that by not watching the shows they're taking sides over, they're part of the reason there's a problem in the first place.
Also, let's not forget that in general, the 30-60 generation often tends to be too exhausted from dealing with life to deal with unimportant stuff like Conan vs. Jay. Myself included.
