Dr. M. The PiF thing is a little broken here in the U.S. for the Saga, but I'm trying to un-screw-it up. However, PiF hasn't been in effect on the non-SW stuff. There was very little interest comparitively speaking but they are floating around. Hopefully somebody monitoring this thread will offer to help, and if anybody is up for getting the PiF thing rolling, you all know my support of it. Given that I've given out every single edit I've done for free, I'm hoping that the Karma will radiate outward and not back inward.

JackLucas, again, hopefully somebody is paying attention and can help. I'll be interested in knowing either way.

PSYCHO_DAYV, I'm still wrestling with Kill Bill vs The Matrix for Contest 2. I currently have more ideas with Kill Bill floating around in my head though Dr. M gave me some bitchin' ideas on The Matrix months ago that seem apropos. As for Contest 1, I intend to submit the prequels and Hannibal with the help of the PIF system, and will be submitting two bonus discs that sort of accompany the saga re-edit as a whole as bonus materials for the saga. Boba Feta has done GREAT cover art for I, II and Hannibal that he's agreed for me to submit. He gets all the credit there, though. In the off-chance I actually win something, I think I'll have it donated to hurricane relief. I really am not out for personal gain on this (though a public apology from George Lucas for the Prequels would be a nice prize in itself ).

And finally, Jay (or whomever) thanks for moving this thread to the "Preservation and Fan Edits" group to accompany the SW thread. I'd originally listed this in OFF-topic when the thread was dedicated to SW transfers only. Since this thread group has changed focus, I appreciate this thread being included where it is now.

Edit: P.S. Original post has been modified to include details on "Remember The Titans."

I have been working on my own covers. I will gladly share them. I want to use all the drew struzan posters plus whatever other paintings i can find.

"The other versions will disappear. Even the 35 million tapes of Star Wars out there won’t last more than 30 or 40 years. A hundred years from now, the only version of the movie that anyone will remember will be the DVD version [of the Special Edition], and you’ll be able to project it on a 20’ by 40’ screen with perfect quality. I think it’s the director’s prerogative, not the studio’s to go back and reinvent a movie." - George Lucas

Hannibal: Desserts Served With Your Main Course, I would dearly love to get my hands on this not only just to watch (it's always a joy to watch an ADM project) but also with attempting a stab at trying to get a version even closer to the novel by mixing in parts from Hannibal Rising as flashbacks.

I'm a bit green when it comes to Rapidshare and the only time I ever saw this project up as a Trnt it was unseeded.

Does anyone have problems with the 5.1 soundtrack on the MP4 versions of the Harry Potter extended editions?

This had to be released by someone else,ADM does not release in this format, his releases are all full DVD's.

Well started getting the full DVDs, so no more LFE/hum channel problems yay! However I noticed one of the new scenes edited back into Chamber of Secrets does not have 5.1 sound.  I realise the source probably didn't but I know a lot of editors here remix sound as well.  Just wondering if it was the same for all movies.

I've recently been enjoying watching ADM's Extended Potter cuts, great stuff.

Has anyone ever attempted to alter the face of You Know Who... in the first film to make it look more like the Ralph Fiennes version?

I wonder if eventually any of the other lost scenes will turn up on a release (like the Peeves scene).

ugg, thats it? Thats what we get for deleted scenes?  I shouldn't be surprised, but this film REALLY needed a lot more deleted scenes to add back.  It felt so rushed.  Anyway, I hope ADM is still at it.

All the Potter films could use some fattening up.

While the first few films are satisfying, we know there is more footage out there and want it.

From Goblet on, the stories are really in need of it.

Only of first 2 films, and runtimes suggest that it's going to be the ABC cut, warts and all.

ADM at least fixed some continuity errors.

Is there anywhere else to find the HP movies 3 and 5, dual layer (or even just single)?   Fanedit.info only has links for the mp4, and Googling isn't turning up anything with decent seeds.

Or, I guess, would anyone put them back up on rapidshare?   I know I won't be getting an actual answer on the board, but can someone PM me with any info?

Something witty.

I have the rars for Hannibal Desserts Served With Your Main Course, and after failing to open them on my Macs I managed to open the exe archive on a friend's computer but it wants a password.

Any help would be gratefully received.

****UPDATE*** (Doh!...I wonder how many other people had to run around like Anneka Rice until a nice person points them in the right direction?)

I've been feeling SUPER since Thanksgiving.  Highly.  Definite.  I've been feeling so SUPER for so dang long that I'm ready to stop feeling so SUPER so I can start feeling a little magical.

Yes, I looked there first, but I didn't see it. I can check again.

Jut wondering is ADM working on Harry Potter Half Blood Prince extended edition?

Author
Time

I would imagine not.  His extended editions of the other Harry Potter were taken off fanedit.org when the official extended editions were released.  I would imagine it is only a matter of time before an official extended edition of Harry Potter and the Half Blood prince is released, so there might not seem to be much point in working on something that might soon be superseded by an official release -  and a Blu-ray one at that.

Read post 766.  I'd say the answer is most definitely yes.  HPB is in the works.

As far as a comparison of HP1 & 2's official extended releases versus ADM's cut, it's mixed.  There are a few transitional elements, and some slight differences in order on the official versions.

On the down side, IIRC there are some continuity problems and sloppiness to the additions in the official cuts that ADM smoothed out.

Just to be clear, there are only official extended cuts of the first two films.  ADM's edits are still indispensable.
