The reason so many people have religion is because, (in context to creation) science cannot explain creation without saying Bang.
I hate to start an argument, but I cannot grasp the idea of a creation without a creator. The universe couldn't have just decided to exist. My beliefs are easier to grasp than "It just happened".
don't worry about starting an argument (or rather a nice exchange of opinions wich i prefer), it's just because we care in what we think, that we "argue", you know what I'm sayin?
now, in my opinion the reason so many people have religion, and have always had beliefs and such, is because they'd like to have certainties, something to rely on, and because of the arrogant idea that man (as in Homo Sapiens Sapiens) is Special, is better than all the other animals when in fact he's just another animal, just as stupid or as clever as an ostrich or an ant.
there are instances in life where we like to complicate things, and there are others in wich we certainly don't. beliefs is one of those. "why does that... who did this and that..... MAGIC". it's just easier. or rather it was...
no I take it back. there are also complicated beliefs, with long lists of what you should and should not do, and such and such. well I guess a gift humanity will NEVER experience is COHERENCE! I know that for sure.
In context to creation, the main thing, for me, is, wrong name. it's not a creation, cause a creation, as logic would put it, requires a creator.
science has not yet got the whole picture, and who knows if it will (certainly not in our lifetimes), but we, as it is now, cannot yet wrap our head around it. scientists can't do that, let alone Average Joe. just the fact that in high school they teach you just the basics of relativity, and when i mean basics i mean abc, and that is just the beginning of modern science.... first you had to understand what the universe is... and that alone is something nobody agrees on.
