Well, I also have a .ts sample at 23.967 (which I got due to a donation) and it still has the same problem, no sound and sped up video. This comes straight from Adywan so I didn't change anything myself, and again, it plays fine on my PC but not on my HDTV.
I even tried changing container, from the original .ts to .mkv with GDSmux from the Haali Media Splitter, the resulting file plays fine in VLC but there's still something wrong when I play it on my HDTV. Now the video plays like it should but the audio is still missing. My TV can play other AC3 encoded files so it's not that it doesn't support it.
I really don't understand why it keeps having problems with either the video or audio (or both), because technically my HDTV supports all these filetypes and plays other such files without problem. I'll try this RipBot thing for now, but does this recode the video/audio too? I'd rather not have too much quality loss and just change container. But if it works then that's a step in the right direction. I'll let you know how this goes, thanks for the suggestions so far :)
EDIT: I managed to get them to work (both the 1080p@24fps sample, and the 720p@23.967fps sample) by converting them to .mkv with RipBot. Though the bitrate is a bit lower, I suppose it'll have to do untill we get a PS3 in a year or so.
It's gonna be hell to convert the full movies, my PC will probably have to do some serious crunching for a day or so :)
