I don't have a blu-ray or hd-dvd player but I do have a big Samsung LCD TV that can play a lot of file formats (avi, mpg, mkv, ts, etc...) via USB. I downloaded the sample and extracted the .m2ts file but it didn't recognise it, but after renaming the extension to .ts it plays it.

However, the video is somewhat sped up and I don't get any sound. I still have to connect the TV to my receiver for full surround (have to buy another cable for that), so it might just be that it can't downsample the 5.1 to stereo, although that seems unlikely. The sped up video I can't explain. I noticed that all but your AVCHD version of ANH has 24p and the rest at 23.976p, could this be the problem?

I'd really like to watch this thing on my new HDTV, so hopefully you can help me with this.

EDIT: The sample plays fine on my PC, but VLC says that it has a frame rate of 48 whereas all my other HD videos have either 24 or 23.967. Could this be why it's sped up?
