The book company most likely flew him out specifically for this appearance. He wouldn't have been doing readings, since he didn't write the book he compiled other authors pieces. At the end of the interview, it looked like he was ready to fly out of there. Guessing that this was the main public push for the book, maybe he'll do other things in locations which are more film making oriented. Did searches for other NYC appearances but did not find anything.
