I don't see her as brainless as inexperienced. Her accent annoys the hell out of me, but I never saw anything that seemed to indicate she really lacked intelligence. The whole McCain campaign was just one massive joke, and this poor woman found her self as part of the punchline and didn't even seem to realize it. There is no doubt the woman was in WAY over her head; which went along brilliantly with the decrepit old asshole they were trying to pass off as a presidential candidate.

Her stepping down from her elected position was another nail in her political coffin; that was just a really lousy move. If I had been a citizen of Alaska and voted for her, I'd have been pissed. I am now quite certain she will never amount to anything politically. My prediction is that she is now official a hasbeen and the height and end of her legacy will be her recently published book. This is coming from the guy who use to think she had a lot of potential. Oh well, won't be the first person who let fame go to their head and made dumb choices because of it.
