its even more unbelievable when you remember the entire crux of them going after sarah was because they never knew who john connor's father was

the entire forth movie is only useful as footage to try and make an entirely different story

and the 4th movie just... ends

after watching it a second time the two overwhelming feelings i had the first time came back

1) john comes off as beyond egotistical and a meglamanic...

hes frantic to stop the resistance attack because -HE- will then cease to exist. where the other movies has always kept him grounded- he now totally believes his own hype and is convinced that humanity cant hope to survive without him... yet- in the original timeline (which we have never seen) we somehow defeated the machines without him first being born.

there has never been mention of the original timeline which is= the machines are defeated

we are told and see glimpses of the second timeline- kyle goes back in time and fathers a child. this child grows to become john connor and leads the humans to defeat the machines.

2) the movie just... ends

with the non-stop set pieces there is no build up what so ever. we see a few battles. the t-800 prototype factory is destroyed and the movie just.. ends

granted they were planning on making a trilogy so this may be why there was no monumential build up but come on all those hundreds of millions of dollars and almost 2 hours and you cant tell any real story or show any real character development or non-retarded scenes of 'dialogue'?

i cant call the few we are given really 'conversation' because everyone just yelled lines back and forth at one another. it was like a live action dragon ball Z
