I don't want to darken the hull any more. darkening it makes the stardestroyer blend into the background too much. Even though the lighting is incorrect the focus is immediately on the top stardestroyer being lighter which it should be

Cool enough... it does look like the hull is darker than what it was in the GOUT and looks a lot less like a brightly lit model, which is the overall desired end. At the least, the lighting matches the escort SD, so there is at least some consistency too.

BTW, thanks for the quick reply.. so what time is it in the UK right now (I have 30 minutes past midnight here)?
