This illustrates both the main mission of this site and the main mission of Ady's projects.
There are people who don't want a single thing changed about the OT and they deserve a highest possible quality version of the pre SE versions of these films.
Ady is making his version of the SE (an SE with changes to the films that make sense).
I loath (in terms of story) the opening of ROTJ for the reasons I mentioned earlier (the Death Star is meant to be the new threat to the Rebellion and the truncated rehash of ANH's epic Star Destroyer opening makes that threat look like a fragile tiny object).
The over-use of the Imperial Shuttle in ROTJ illustrates a key problem with that film which damages the illusion of a plausible fantastic realm (they had spent money on a model and filmed it above the requirements of the story, three key scenes with a ship design which is implied by it's function to have always have been there but was never seen before and on one occasion is serving a different function to what it is supposedly designed for).
All through ROTJ we see incongruous objects filling the background because the film makers already had the props made and it saved money (not because those objects make sense being there due to the story).
If changes are to be made at all those are the sort of changes that make sense, not Greedo shooting first or Vader making a weaker call for a shuttle.
While this is specifically a subject which should be taken over to the ESB/ROTJ Wishlist Thread in a general sense it covers a lot of the resistance to changes that popped up on the ANH:R thread, on this thread and on almost any thread where changes are suggested.
Lucas opened this can of worms when he first started tinkering with Star Wars and has propped it open with his attitude to his own special editions.
Preserving the films as they were and making changes to them are two separate issues.
