I see where you're coming from. I prefer that she is royalty so that it explained why Leia carries the label of Princess... And not this elected official crap, ACTUAL royalty.... Bail could be a prince which could create an awesome love triangle. Makes the marriage of Anakin and NOT Padme even more forbidden.

I was also thinking about the classic movies. Characters that had bit parts but seem to carry weight like Mon Mothma, General Nadine, Admiral Ackbar. I think it would be interesting if these characters were primaries in the prequels, so that when you see them in the bit parts later you know full well their importance.

I have all these images of what I thought the prequels and they just didn't come close.
