Well, say someone you find has a X-wing uniform. Could they maybe modify the gloves and boots for these distant shots? I'm thinking of a inexpensive solution like going to a store and purchasing a pair of cheap winter gloves matching that color and boots maybe modified too.
How big will Luke be in these shots anyway? If he's small enough, you might be able to get away with that possibility.
